Edible landscapes designed, planted & maintained for you

We use technology to create a design that's unique to your yard. Everything after that is outdoors, hands in the dirt, and tech-free. The AI just works quietly in the background so caring for your garden stays easy and fits into your everyday life.

What we do

Everything your edible yard needs

From the first sketch to the last harvest. Chefs Gardener is part of Wicked Tasty Tech, built by a chef who wants more people cooking from their own backyard.

Design

Edible landscape design

A plan for your yard's sun, soil and space: raised beds, in-ground borders, fruit trees and pollinator plantings, laid out to be beautiful as well as productive.

Care

Garden maintenance

Regular visits for weeding, pruning, feeding, pest checks and seasonal replanting so the garden stays healthy and keeps producing.

Yard

Yard maintenance

Mowing, edging, mulching and cleanups for the rest of the property, so the whole yard looks cared for.

Buyback

Harvest buyback

When your garden grows more than you can eat, we buy the surplus. Less waste, and your yard pays you back.

Tech in the plan, not in the garden

You get the garden. We keep the tech out of your way.

A design made for your yard

We use design tools and AI to work out sun, spacing, plant pairings and a planting calendar that fits your space and the way you cook.

Reminders, not apps

You don't have to manage software. We keep track of what needs watering, feeding or picking and let you know when it matters.

Outside, it's just a garden

No screens in the beds. Dirt, sun, a good harvest basket, and dinner that came from twenty feet away.

FAQ

Buyback, installs & pricing

How does the Harvest Buyback program work?

Once your garden is in, you're eligible. When you have more than your kitchen can use, let us know and we'll set up a pickup. We weigh and grade the produce at collection and pay seasonal market rates, either as a payment or as credit toward your maintenance.

What produce do you buy back?

Herbs, salad greens, tomatoes, peppers, squash, beans, root vegetables and tree fruit that are freshly picked, unblemished and free of chemical sprays. Rates follow current wholesale prices for the season.

Do I have to sell my harvest back?

Never. The food is yours first. Buyback exists so nothing goes to waste when the garden out-produces your kitchen. Sell all of it, some of it, or none of it.

What happens during installation?

After your consult and design sign-off, we clear and prep the site, amend or replace soil, build beds or in-ground borders, install drip irrigation, plant, and mulch. Most installs take one to three days on site.

Will installation disrupt my yard?

We work in defined zones, protect paths, and clean up at the end of each day. Existing trees, hardscape and irrigation are noted at the consult and worked around. Anything that has to move is agreed with you in writing first.

Do I need a maintenance plan?

No, but it helps. You can care for the garden yourself with the planting calendar and care schedule on this page, or book us for regular visits: feeding, pruning, pest checks, succession planting and seasonal changeovers.

What does it cost?

We bill $120 an hour with a 2-hour minimum. Plants, soil and irrigation parts are billed at cost, separately. After a free site visit you get a written estimate before any work starts.

Where do you work?

In person across the South Shore and greater Boston.
